Sagamore Hill Military Reservation, Sandwich, MA
According to the Wikipedia article, “Sagamore Hill Military Reservation was a coastal defense site located in Sagamore Beach, Massachusetts. Today, the site is the location of Scusset Beach State Reservation. Sagamore Hill Military Reservation was built on state land. Its mission was to protect the Cape Cod Canal from possible air and naval attack. It never did have to fire its guns in defense but did play an important part in the defense of the canal. The Panama mounts (1942) and battery commander’s station of a two-gun 155mm battery still remain here, as well as several magazine igloos.”

Saw Mill & Kaaterskill Hotel Laundry Building, Catskill, NY
This structure is located in the Catskill Mountains of New York. It was a saw mill and later the Kaaterskill Hotel Laundry House, according to this website. A stone retaining wall is also present that apparently contained water for the saw mill.

Kaaterskill Hotel, Catskills, NY
The Kaaterskill Hotel operated from 1881 to 1924 on South Mountain in the Catskill Mountains. The hotel burned down in 1924. All that remains are some stone foundations and debris, including kitchenware and rusted metal.

Catskill Mountain House, Catskills, NY
The Catskill Mountain House was a hotel located in the Catskill Mountains of New York from 1824 to 1963. A downfall of the hotel was that it was located a distance from any easy transportation port. Competition with other hotels forced it to finally close in 1941. After being left vacant for decades, New York State purchased the property and burned down the remains in 1963.
The building is long gone, but the site still contains the spectacular views and also engraved names and dates that date back to the 1800s.

Central Hudson, Poughkeepsie, NY
These are before and after photos after demolition occurred of gas storage structures on the Central Hudson property along the Hudson River in Poughkeepsie, NY. The first two photos show the site in 2012, and the third photo shows the site in 2015. This is the area bordered on the north by Dutchess Avenue and on the east by North Water Street.
